Milo’s Vegan Flake Pizza Crust
I have experimented with many different types of pizza crust recipes and finally started experimenting on my own. The result came after many miserable failures leading up to what I would consider crust perfection. A semi-thick, soft and flaky crust this is vegan pizza at its finest. Whether you mix it up with a little olive oil and pesto or the traditional tomato sauce and “chreeze” it is pizza at it’s finest. Some of my favourite topping include tomato sauce, Vegan Gourmet Mozzarella style “chreeze,” tempeh bacon, pineapples, and almond slivers. Of course I think you should try all sorts of toppings but the crust should always stay the same. Preheat the oven to 450 or 475 and follow the recipe below.
4 1/2 teaspoons of egg replacer and 6 Tablespoons of water (place in airtight container and shake until fluffy)
1/4 cup of oil
1/2 cup of soy, nut, or rice milk
2 1/4 cup of flour
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of oregano (optional)1. In a small bowl mix together egg replacer mix, milk, and oil.
2. In a larger bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt (oregano).
3. Add wet mix to dry mix. Knead for a bit then stretch out unto and oiled baking sheet.
4. Poke holes in crust with fork. Spread sauce or oil. Add toppings.
5. Cook for 15 minutes.

Is this the kind of crust we made that one day at my house? If so, it’s YUMMMMMMMY! If not, can’t wait to try it. I’m on my way into the kitchen to do so now
